Firstly, I drew out the details and the shape of the ID Tag. Then, I proceeded on with cutting the shape of the ID Tag, which was a rabbit. At first, I tried cutting the rabbit shape a few times but I had to redo because I cut the shape wrongly. After a few times, I was progressing better and with the help of a teacher, I managed to cut it out nicely. Then, I went to file the 'rabbit' until there is no sharp edges. After that, I went to make the plastic clip of the ID Tag. Firstly, I used the round cutting machine and shaped out the round end of the clip. After that, I used the heating machine to soften the plastic clip then I bent it using the wooden blocks. I used the chloroform to attach the clip to the 'rabbit'. I then made the inside details of the ID Tag using the Autodesk Inventor. Then, we went to the workshop to attach the inside of the ID Tag to the rest of the ID Tag and the ID Tag is done.
What triggered my idea
My friend loves rabbits and she has a bubbly personality like a rabbit so I decided to create a rabbit shape for the tag.Her name is family when translated to chiniese so I used the word family for my initial idea.
How did I develop my idea
I searched up 'rabbit' on Google and I saw a simple rabbit so I drew the rabbit shape, with reference to the picuture.Since there was not enough space for the word family I decided to only put in fam.
Reflection on the processes
The objectives of the three processes are to learn and familarise on how to use the machines.
I think that the manufactoring part of the process is the most challenging because there is many steps to do and they are sometimes troublesome.
If I were to redo, I would change the plastic clip of the tag as it is a bit slanted and not bent properly.
A picture of the final idea :>
